Book Review and Giveaway of “Case for Grace for Kids”

New York Times bestselling author, Lee Strobel, along with Focus on the Family’s Clubhouse editor, Jesse Florea have pulled together eight, true stories that exemplify grace.
Published by Zonderkidz, the target age stated for the book is for those ages eight to twelve, but I think the book tends to lean towards the older youth. I’d definitely not limit it to twelve-year-olds. High school students will find the stories pack quite a punch.

Not all of the stories are about kids. Some cover the experiences of college students and older adults. But they all show grace through various forms—from receiving it to learning how to give it.
One of my favorite stories is about the teenage son of a Buddhist high priest in Cambodia. At the beginning of his saga, it was only the image of a cross that intrigued him. Later he learned of God’s grace and sacrificial love, but not before he endured the brutality of the Khemer Rouge.
He was beaten, starved, and he struggled to stay alive. Many of his family members and friends were killed.
However, this young man did survive. He became a Christian and years later, a church planter.
Then, God placed him in a mind-boggling situation and tested him to see if he fully grasped the gift of grace. (You’ll just have to read it to find out what happens!)
This is a great book of testimonies to God’s amazing grace. Some of the stories are of a singular experience while other stories reveal cases of grace woven throughout a lifetime of events.
